Modern, clean, fresh and understated. Less is more! In the style of Carolyn Bassette’s wedding gown. This dress has been featured across a 4 page spread in an international wedding publication!!! Shape – fitted across bodice and very gently flaring from the hips forming train behind. Streamlined shape that drapes beautifully to the figure. The dress is UK size 10/12 and is unaltered. Amanda Wakeley dresses tend to come up a little small so the dress size is closer to a 10. Specifications – My proportions are 75cm waist / 90cm hip, and I am 166cm tall. I wore 10cm high shoes with the dress which gave me an overall height in shoes of 176cm). At my height the dress was 1cm from the floor at the front. The dress could be worn by someone to a maximum height of 182cm (incl shoes). If the wearer were shorter than 176cm overall (incl shoes) the dress could be tailored to suit. Fabric – silk satin. The reflective nature of the silk satin fabric gives the dress a luminous quality. There are a few subtle marks at the hem of the train. These marks are barely visible located mostly to the inside of the train. Otherwise the dress is in immaculate condition. The dress has had a premier £195 dry cleaning service at Elias Dry Cleaners at South Kensington. Details – an expressed stitch detail creates flattering line at bodice and waist. The stitching detail is a feature and forms the construction of the garment. Two cups have been loosely hand sewn in to the inside of the bodice to give shape at the bust. These cups can be easily removed if not required. There is a loop at the back of the dress that slips over the wrist to hold the train up for dancing. Receipts – I have the original receipts from the dress purchase and dry cleaning. A few extra tips – pair with glamorous jewel encrusted Gina shoes or Jimmy Choo’s! Don't forget your Spanx. Keep accessories to a minimum and let the dress do the talking!
